At the Lewis School we believe in teaching world and romance languages in order to foster critical thinking and to lay a foundation for future language study. Students learn Chinese and French through several weekly classes each.

ORCHESTRA:

Christina Gant is a

musician, performer,

and teacher from the

Canfield area.

Tina is a graduate of

the Eastman School

of Music in Rochester,

New York with a

Masters of Music

degree concentrating

in violin performance.

Throughout her

career as a musical

performer, Tina traveled and performed all around the world including Austria and Germany and throughout the United States. Locally Tina and her husband have invested in the musical interests of the Valley. Tina is an active member of both the Youngstown Symphony and of the Cleveland Pops Orchestra. Tina also assists with the Youngstown Youth Orchestra and Symphony as well as teaches at Thiel College in Greenville, Pennsylvania. In her hometown of Canfield, Tina and her husband have a studio in which she gives private lessons in Violin/Strings, Piano, and Orchestra.

Angelo LaMarca

is  an artist in

Youngstown who is

committed to the

education of children

in the Valley.

Angelo graduated

with a Bachelor of

Fine Arts with a

major in painting

from the Cleveland

Institute of Art.

After graduation he

moved to New York City and worked for one of New York’s largest auction houses: Phillips de Pury.  Currently, Angelo is the Facilities Director at Oh Wow! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science and Technology. Music is another one of his passions. He writes, records, and performs his own original compositions. Angelo uses his downtown painting studio to pursue his work as a freelance photographer and screen printer for a local philanthropic organization, Brown Horse Garments.  His unique perspective and creative gifts are utilized to create a dynamic arts education program at the Lewis School.
